Gorge continues his winning ways at Ludlow

GORGE'S  STRIKES AGAIN

Gorge made it 2 out of 4 over fences when taking out the feature race of the day, the 'His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Challenge Trophy' at Ludlow.   In the race restricted to amateur riders, Gorge's regular pilot Josh Hamer rode a cracker of a race, settling the lad on the fence behind the leader, the classy performer Politeo, and saving every inch of ground before challenging for the lead between the final two flights, then riding hard to hold the late thrust of Vincitoire near the line.  UK racing pundits' refusal to accept the son of Thunder Gulch could stay 3 miles saw him sent off at a bountiful 10-1, despite Gorge's previous excellent run at Kempton on Boxing Day.
